SCHOOL MARATHON / CARNIVAL
On Saturday 25th of June 2011, the parents, teachers and staff of Rantya High School gathered for a wonderful occasion which everyone was waiting for, the marathon/carnival day.
The marathon which was sponsored by G. T. bank, Indomie, Grand cereals, I. T. F. and the school management started about 7:30am. The high school students started the race which was marked 14km, the parents and staff went for a 7km race, while the model school students went for a 6km race. After the successful marathon, winners emerged and beautiful prices were awarded.
Later that day, as about 10:00am, everything about the marathon ended and the school was decorated in beautiful colours, set and ready for the carnival, the first of its kind in the history of Rantya. The parents, staff, students and other invited schools such as Adonai Vine School, Cannan High etc. were at the school premises for the event which comprised of activities such as art and food exhibition, fashion parade, dancing competition, video games, fortune telling, face painting, sack race, sweet guess, funny soap an other fun activities.
There were canopies for both parents and invited schools, and the food section in which all sort of varieties were made e.g rice, pounded yam, chicken, etc. in which everyone ate to their satisfaction. The DJ played wonderful songs , people came in beautiful and nice outfits, the atmospheric condition was nice, it was indeed a perfect day.
Invited friends also came to participate in the fun day. Over 1,000 tickets were bought and used during the carnival and was indeed a day everyone was waiting for.
As about 4.00pm, all the events were closed which completed the wonderful day. We thank the sponsors, the parents, the director and the entire school management for organizing such event
